why doesn't change oil message go off

I had my oil changed and 2 weeks later the change oil soon message came up. How do I get rid of it

It is usually reset when the oil is changed at a service center, there should be information on resetting it in your owners manual.

It comes on after so many miles to let you know it is time to change oil. Then it needs to be reset. The service center should have done this.

On many GMs you can reset the oil life system by turning the ignition on but don't start the engine. Then press the accelerator pedal to the floor and release it 5 times within 5 seconds. This should reset it. HTH. -Jim
