What causes the tank vent hose to leak fluids when the tank is not full.

Please help!

~got a Check Engine code: p0171
~told I need a new fuel pump assembly.
~I installed new fuel pump assembly.
~check engine light came back after less than 30 miles.
~new codes: p0171, p0174
~tried to pour fuel injector cleaner into gas tank (tank 1/4 full)
~fuel injector cleaner poured out of tank vent tube onto the ground.
~filled gas tank with gas. gas leaked out of tank vent tube onto the ground.
~What is causing my tank vent tube to leak everything onto the ground?

It's not coming out of a hole. It's coming out of the end of the vent hose. Could this be cause by too much tank pressure maybe?


My ford fusion is giving me the same issues and error codes. If you find a solution to this issue, please hit me up. My mechanic does not know what to recommend. He only wipes out the code electronically. @guruk3B4z
