Returned to car to pull it home and saw oil on ground...replaced oil pan gasket new oil and filter ..and still cranks but no start...what do I do next

You probably over dosed it but I doubt that is the problem. The only possible link I can think of is it loosened up so much gunk that it plugged up the fuel filter.

We also checked and plugs are firing so I'm not sure if it could have a reset or safety switch or need rebooting ....or is it fuel related

Try changing the fuel filter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0Qb4H9_PDs

That's what I'm thinking..but it was so quick to happen and I just got car and unfamiliar with it....It had been setting up for 8 months with water in floorboard....after removing water and putting a hot battery on car it cranked right up and I drove it home when I bought it 1 week ago...

Will do fuel filter in the am and see....thanks

That may be a factor don't you think? The STP may just be a coincidence.
