Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought an 08 Urban Runner and already having trouble with the Tom-Tom unit.  Took it to a dealer in Knoxville and they had never seen one and didn't know what it was much less how to repair it.  Anyone else having problems?

hey there, I just bought a brand new 2008 Urban Runner, and my TomTom is up and running. My problem is however, getting the Ipod to work and be compatible with the system. Everything else runs perfectly, I would suggest taking it in. They are going to fix mine for free, and just give me a loaner for a day. I like in Lexington, Ky but bought mine from Toyota South in Richmond. This is new for Toyota's technology department, so you my just have to check around.

Did they resolve the issue? Is it something we can fix on ours? We have the same problem!!

I have the same issue with my Urban Runner. Good luck getting it fixed since I have had mine for over a year and have had nothing but issue after issue with my Tom Tom unit. At one point, Toyota corporate told me that there is no available fix for the unit...I then went thru abitration and was denied because it was only a radio. I suggested that they replace it with a different radio and to forget the Nav. Long story short....no one wants to take responsiblity for the issue. I have learned my lesson, I have a year and a half left on my lease and will never purchase another toyota again!
