interior lights in a 2008 ranger sport won't work when headlites are turned on

interior lites won't work when headlites  are turned on.

interiir rheostat is burned out. (dimmer knob/control. its a short. you can byoass the dimmer switch but i suggest a new one. gotta be careful.fooling with wires. wink wink.
