Why do my reverse lights stay on when the key is in the on position in my 1994 ford ranger?
Most common is a stuck backup light switch, but you could also have a cross circuit in the backup light wiring.
My 97 does this. I'm assuming it's because it is designed to do so. The switch must sense power, and the shifter in reverse to power up the reverse light. Try using the accessory instead of turning on the ignition..
