2008 Dodge Ram cut off at stop sign, no cel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Little back story here, truck has 160k miles on it,
blow smoke and drinks oil like a drunk drink
whiskey. I was pulling up to a stop sign and the
truck cut off. No smoke, no sounds, no cel, just
dead. All electronics were still on, but no vroom
vroom. I tried restarting it and it would rev up and
down by itself and cut off after just a second or 2.
If i gave it gas, it would stay up, though still sound
rough. It would die right after I let off the gas (all
this in neutral) so I towed it to my dad's house and
let it sit. I also just put a half a tankof gas in it. I
went back about 4 days later and tried to start it,
and it started up and idled but was still very rough
and rpms bouncing all over. I cut it off and then
tried to turn it back on and it would start but then
die again right off the bat. I've done some research,
heard it could be the gas cap not on correctly, bad
battery, crankshaft sensor, dirty throttle body, dirty
or bad egr valve, bad map sensor, dirty or bad tps,
and so many other things. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
