2008 Dodge Ram 1500 refuses to start at times.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SXT, 4.7 L with Flex Fuel.  I have had an intermitten problem where I
will turn the key, the instrument panel does the usual with gauges and OBD lights, but when the key is
turned to the start position, nothing happens.  

I can turn on the radio, the AC, anything I want to, but the truck will not start.  No clicking, nothing.  
The guages do not fall, the idiot lights don't go out, just doesn't start.  Today, when it happened, in a
moment of "non-alcohol induced clarity" or so I thought, I pushed in the parking brake, nothing,
released it, and it worked.  Tried to replicate it, to no avail, but then the truck wouldn't start again
and the parking brake didn't work.  Waiting a minute or two, and fired up perfectly fine.  

I was thinking Neutral Start Safety or ignition, but neither seems really logical, anyone have this issue?
