Says ac off for engine protection

Asked by David Jul 04, 2020 at 06:46 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Uplander LT Extended FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Readout says ac off for engine protection. Has
"chocolate milk" like sludge on the coolant
overflow tank. I just put in a new radiator, a new
fail safe thermostat new power radiator hose new
fans new transmission filter all in the last 3 weeks.

I think your head gasket is leaking oil into the coolant. I would not drive it at all.

It is also possible your new radiator is at fault. Did this problem exist before you replaced it?
