3.3L engine and I'm been losing 2 1/2 qts since my last change we do a oil change every 5000 miles and that was in Oct 2015 it is 1/31/16 and I don't even have 5000 on it yet and check the oil and I'm 2 1/5 qts low no leaks no black coming out of exhuste and no codes or lights showing there are no oil standing in driveway.. where is it going my mechanic says that chrysler been having problems with these complaints...
What weight oil do you use and how many miles on the engine? Are the spark plugs fouled with oil? Whatever the cause, don't let it get that low on oil or you may ruin your engine. Check it more often and never let it get more than one quart low.
That really sounds like a internal engine problem, ie worn or broken piston rings, valve stem seals, etc. Look for a light blue haze out of the exhaust, it will be more noticeable after idling for a while then taking off like from a stop sign or even under full deceleration like going down a steep hill. A quart in 2,000 miles may not cause blue smoke but a worn engine is the most likely cause.
