this morning i got in my truck and turned on the ac and it had a bad smell coming out and it never got cold cold. what could that be? 2008 dodge nitro

sounds like you AC evap coil, it sits behind your heater core, if it leaks your R134 it will have a ass smell and your air wont work.

core or coil? when I try to look up the part it wont come up as coil but an ac evaporator core will....

and are they hard to install your self?

Hi Jeanette0616, i have issue like this and the mechanic replaced the water pump but it didn't fix the problem. Have you fix your problem?

I still have the problem. I have bought some of that Freon stuff that glows with a uv light if there is a leak. my leak has got to be in the dash or something. I can fill it up and it blows cool for a day or two then its right back to the same thing. or its that coil thing. smh
