Clunking sound when moving at low speeds, and it feels like my brakes are being pressed when they aren't.

Asked by Yvonne Jul 13, 2017 at 05:02 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Torrent Base AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I've had my struts, lower control arms, EGR valve, rear
brake pads and sway bar links replaced in the last few
months. But while driving at low speeds, mostly when
accelerating or decelerating there is a clunking sound in the
front of my car, it doesn't seem to always be in the same
spot, but mostly to the right side of the car. And I'm not sure
if this is related to that problem but while I'm driving when I
take my foot off of the gas it feels like my brake pedal is
being pressed, I've had to pull it up with my foot several
time and my car goes back to being not as sluggish and
occasionally the brake pedal feels a little harder to press, it
also seems to have more trouble going up hills and getting
to high speeds quickly.

Also forgot to mention occasionally the light for traction control/stability control pops up, it's not constantly on the dash, it just shows up every once in a while.
