I like it because it handles better than my old suv. I'm glad that we purchased it as a family car, it comes in handy during winter months. It also gets good gas mileage as well which is a plus in our book.

The cruise on the Pontiac Torrent is really bad, when you press it, it does not respond, so one tends to keep pressing it and the speed jumps up by almost 10 MPH. So be careful, because it does respond and before you know it, it has jumped up to a speed you don't want.

To anyone who has a torrent and an overheating problem... Long story short, mine wasnt the radiator, water pump or thermostat (the usual culprits), or a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Do a compression test and if you find weak compression on one side, pull that valve cover off. I found a melted charred mess in a coolant channel that restricted flow. Fixed that, and hasnt run hot since
