I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent FWD. When I go to start the car up sometimes it won't start, i turn the key forward the only thing that happens is the security light comes on and then goes off.

There is 50 things that it could be, so, first I would check the fuel pressure, and fuel filter. Pressure should be up at lest 56 to 62 lbs.
