Ignition key will not unlock doors

Has the ignition lock ever been changed? You can try taking the vin number to a dealer and have them cut a key, or go to a lock smith and have them cut a key for the door. To get them all to match easiest and cheapest would be to have locksmith cut a door key then rekey lock for ignition which would be easier and cheaper to remove and rekey than the door.

My old Ford was like that from the factory.
