Why do my Stabilitrack and ABS Lights come on whenever I hit a bump?
I have a 2008 Chevy Impala (Paula for short)LTZ model with just over 150k
miles. A few months ago I added some 20' wheels and tires to my car, and it
has driven like a cloud up until a few weeks ago. Now whenever I turn my
steering wheel to the right or the left the ABS and Traction Control "bings" at
me, also the Service Stabilitrack message will come across my computer
message board. Sometimes I drive for awhile and the light will shut off until I
hit another bump in the road (Not a pothole) or I have to make a sharp turn.
Today something new happened the brake felt like it "jumped" once as I was
braking but the car still came to a halt. Some days it is going off every few
miles in the city, on the highway once I hit a bump generally the lights on the
dash will stay on. Any suggestions? I don't want to start throwing money at
this until I know what will definitely fix my issue.
