catalyst full warning light

Asked by GuruH9YJD Jul 21, 2020 at 12:42 PM about the 2007 Dodge RAM 2500 ST LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dodge ram 2007 diesel 2500
Cummings engine 200 000 miles on
clock. 3 weeks ago catayst was at 80
%. My auto guy cleaned filter said had
good power / throttle. Yesterday while
driving warning came back on at 80 %
full then immediately went to 90 % then
100 %. However I drove home and
warning disappeared. Truck seems
fine. Warning has not reappeared. I
spent $900 to get it cleaned. Auto guy
says next step is $3500 replacement.
Is it normal for warning light to
disappear and shouldn't it come back
on if it truly is a problem still?. Thanks
