I'm stumped

Asked by Sep 07, 2015 at 12:05 PM about the 2005 Buick Century Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

High mileage (290.000) 2005 Buick Century. Engine died on corner, restarted driven 1/2 mile to house, parked in driveway.  Next day wont start, engine will barely turn over, battery full charged, fuel filter changed.  Fuel found in air filter box, fuel pump is working ( can hear it, and fuel drips from intake/air flow regulator connection.  Maybe possible timing belt slip?  I don't know

Check for spark. If you have spark, run a compression test. If all cylinders test low or zero it's jumped timing. HTH. -Jim
