Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello i bought a ford explorer 4.6L V8 sport utility
4wd and my wife went to buy it and it drove fine on
the way home and then when she got 20miles from
home it broke down. Put a new starter in, change
the o2 sensor, changed the starter relay switch.
And now, it has a clicking noise and i tried to go for
a small ride and it doesnt have full horsepower. Id
did the obd2 test and it aint throwing out any
codes. But i also did the I/M readiness and it had a
lot of x' on it and only a few green check marks. Im
about to give up because i dont have the money to
fix the dam thing because of this covid-19 crap
happening. The repair shops are closed right now
til the end of june! Any help would be greatly
aporeciated
A friend of mind whos injured right now says i
might have a clogged cat. Or a EVAP problem or
EGR valve problem. See im not a mechanic and he
just lost me there lol. So please any help would be
awesome.
Thanks
Phil

First of all, it is not your starter. The cat converter makes the most sense but they are expensive even if you do it yourself. In your position I would wait another week until the repair shops can help you and let them diagnose your problem. Get at least two diagnoses and estimates before putting out any cash.
