how to change the car battery in a range rover sport 2007

John, I have a 2010 Range Rover with a dead battery. I have disconnected everything but i can not get the battery out (simply won't fit through the small whole). It looks like the part that runs all the way along the windshield needs to be removed. Seems crazy. Advice?
