2007 Town and Country would start for 2 seconds then shut off, now won't start at all:

Asked by joechuck Jul 06, 2015 at 04:12 PM about the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country.  Today I started it and it shut off after 2
seconds.. Started it again, same thing.   Went and read some forums, came back and
tried  unlocking the door manually to reset sentry system.  This didn't work and now my
car wont start at all.    All the the warning lights come on, and the security light blinks
when the key is in the on position.  Is it possible my Key is bad?  Any other suggestions?

Not a battery issue... it started.. the system is getting tripped and shut off. Now it wont turn at all. If it were the battery it wouldnt have turned on.

Had that happen to me, used back-up key and started up fine. Key transponder failed. Have 2 spares. 1999 Town and Country Limited.
