My air bag light went on, any ideas?

You'll need to plug a Code Reader in to know for sure. But when I had this happen (and no airbags deploy) it was because the wiring harness under one of the seats was a little loose. What I would do is make sure both of the airbag harnesses under the front seats are tight, and then disconnect the battery for 15min (to reset the instrument panel). If the issue persists then you might actually need to go to a mechanic.
