Saab 93 SE 1999 with inconsisttent Speedometer. Bad Alternator?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drive a Saab 93, year model 1999, SE edition. In the last 2 days I have had some trouble with my speedometer. While driving in mildly heavy highway traffic, my speedometer stopped working, followed by the eBrake light, ABS light, and Emergency Triangle Light coming on (The Check Engine Light Did not come on.)

After about 5 minutes of driving, the speedometer resumed working and the lights went away. The following day on a similar drive, the car once again was having issue with the speedometer, with each of the same lights coming on. I drove about 40 minutes before having to stop due to my car dying while driving. I am unsure whether or not my car died due to human error in killing the clutch, or because the battery simply died, (I will be getting the battery tested tomorrow.) I have been driving this version of SAAB for 8 years, so I am very good at not killing my car, especially while driving.

Several hours later I returned to my car at its location, and I was able to start the car like normal, with each of the lights turning off once again, with the speedometer working. On my way home, I chose to take a lighter route to take it easy on the car, no air conditioning, night mode active, radio off. Only when I returned to my home street, did the speedometer fail once again, the the same lights turning on once again

I am curious whether or not this is related to an ABS Module problem, or potentially a problem with the Alternator. I did have to jump my car about 6 weeks ago. I bought the car in 2013 with the battery that is in it now.

I am additionally curious about a bad battery can keep the alternator from keeping energy going in my car, thus my car's speedometer failing and dying.

I am convinced this is just an electrical problem (no burning of bad smell thank goodness,) but I am looking for some input. Thank you.
