I was in 3rd gear at a stoplight and I was
trying to take off like it was in first gear and
then I heard a popping noise and then the
car act like it was going to die out but it
stayed on and so I put it in first and it started
to drive it and let go of the clutch and I
noticed that the steering wheel it was still
pulled over put power steering fluid in and
still no power steering what could be the
problem

a bit confusing.... you are talking about the transmission and then talking about power steering issue. So you were in 3rd gear by mistake right?
