Truck just won't start, no previous indication, new battery, just a single click and that's it. Help?

Asked by Mar 28, 2016 at 06:29 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet C/K 1500 454SS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

New starter, new battery, new alternator. Running fine, went to start it and
nothing but a click. Any suggestions?

You mentioned new battery, sometimes the simplest explanation is the right one. Double check your battery terminal connections and make sure everything is tight, and do the same with the starter and alternator. I'll keep looking here to see what you've checked out and help as best I can.

I've checked the wires even changed the positive for the battery. Still no success. More suggestions?

Found the problem. The starter wire was corroded. Thanks for your help.

Glad to hear you found the issue. Few things can be as frustrating as having a problem directly related to new parts and repairs.
