No matter if I shift into first or reverse the car just stays like the parking brake is on.

When I put the parking brake down the brake light goes off. But car acts like it is still on.

Ok, so when you let out the clutch, will the rpm of the engine go down, like the clutch is grabbing? Can you feel the clutch grab.

Not sure what you mean. I put the car in first (with clutch as normal) then gas and it reves up like I have the parking brake on. The engine returns to idle normally. I can feel the car trying against something. Like if I tried to drive with parking break on.

Ok can you put the shifter in first gear and let the clutch out all the way without the motor dying?

That is not what I asked. I am trying to understand you. When it is in gear and you let out the clutch without giving it any gas, will the motor die?

I called feel the car trying to go forward and when I shift into reverse and press the gas I can feel the car trying to go backwards. It's like I forgot to put the parking brake down. But the parking brake goes up and down normally and the brake light on my console goes off and on when I move the parking brake like it should. I can see the reflection in the car behind me that my brake lights are working.

So when the car feels like it is trying to move, is the clutch all the way out.

Ok then, you have clutch problems, and the car is not going to move on its own. You will need a tow to a shop for repair.

I kind of have the same problem as mentioned above, At first the car would take for ever to start going even after i would let the clutch out all the way. I had let a friend drive it and when i got it back it had a really bad burnt smell inside the whole car. when i tried to move it i wouldnt get it to catch a gear the clutch seemed to be working fine but i am not sure i was able to start the car and let the clutch out all the way and have it in a car with out the engine shutting off i had to get the car towed
