Electrical problem with Ford Focus

Asked by Jun 15, 2016 at 03:23 PM about the 2007 Ford Focus ZX4 SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2007 Ford Focus has the instrument cluster not working at all, also my
turn signals will not work as well as the brake lights, the wipers will work and
the high beams also work. Have not tried the cruise control because the brake
lights don't work. Anyone have any ideas.

Have you checked the main fuses under the hood in the power distribution box? For that many circuits to go down all at once has to be blown mains, a loss of a major dash ground, or a broken cluster connector. Do you have a wiring and component locator chart? if not you might think about getting a shop manual with those in it or visit you local library to photocopy one.
