Sta-Bil is a liquid your add to the gasoline to keep it fresh. It's used in cars when they aren't driven often and small engines like lawn mowers when stored for the winter.

It's a fuel stabilizer that you should only use if/when you plan on storing a car or anything with a gasoline powered engine for a while, even something like your lawn mower for the winter. Gasoline will go bad, some of the hydrocarbons will evaporate leaving a gummy residue. StaBil will prevent that
