Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The cooling fan will only kick on if I disconnect the
coolant temp connector but the sensor is new and
I but connected a connector off a junkyard S
series, no corrosion and even when I put the
blower motor speed at full blast the fan stationary.

Okay I will do this more in the morning, I'm new to using multi meter however can you explain like put negative probe here or positive here and what should I set it to like ohms or direct current and what your saying is use the probe behind the connector that those little holes and test them each, after the car warmed up with it being on run however the rest was unclear with multi meter details.
