Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When place the gear in drive "D" the car does not move. But if i move the gear stick to "4" it moves. If i move it to "4" and then back to "D" it will drive. But it wont drive if i move the gear stick to "D" first. Any idea. Thanks

Automatic transmission selector cable is out of adjustment. Take it a transmission shop or the stealership to get it fixed. They shouldn't charge more than an hour or two for labor.
