why does cigarette lighter blow fuses as soon as i put them in

You have a short on the circuit. Is there anything stuck inside the cig lighter socket?

I agree with Tom's suggestion. I once unknowingly dropped a penny down in the cigarette lighter opening and each time something was plugged in a fuse was blown.
