Why is my truck burning black oil and is missing on occasion? We had transmission checked and its ok

black smoke from your tailpipe? that's gasoline- if your engine is burning oil, it would be white- either way your plugs would get fouled- pull one out and look at it- and what does this have to do with your transmission? am I missing something here
