Should I request the timing belt & water pump be replaced at the time of a 60k mainteance?
Normally I would say no, but looking at the year of the vehicle makes me say yes, your almost 10 years old on the stock timing belt, and that's just plain scary, especially on a Hyundai, I would tell them to do the entire kit, might cost a little more but then all of the idlers, water pump and the belt are new and you can breath easy knowing that the timing belt won't come apart and ruin the engine.
