How long should frame and "U"bolts last in a 1997 Suburban

1997  suburban 1500. 222,800 mile  put  5,000 mile per year. No accidents
or trauma. Repainted 7 years ago. New  brake lines  2018, New  gas tank
gas line and fuel tank 8 /2019. Car  runs  good, look  good. Dealer now tells
me the fram eis rusting through in front and rear u bolts are rusted.  Is the
dealer spoofing me to get me to trade and buy a new car? Would  anyone
installing a new  gas tank and brake line have seen this last year?

Depends on where you live and if it is parked outside. But for a 1997 Chevy, it most probably starting for sure. Is it bad enough that it won't pass inspection? Have an independent garage look it over for you. Dealers do like to drum up new business.

Get a second opinion from an independent shop! The U bolts are an easy fix but if it is the frame the car is scrap.
