My jeep has been accelerating very slow reverse it barely moves. I couldnt even get my
car up the hill to my friends house. There is no dipstick for trans fluid as i guess its a
newer model. When i put a small amount of trans fluid in my jeep will run good for a few
days.this last time i added some didnt help very much but was able to reverse my
car.Engi e light is on did go off for a couple days when added fluid but back on.What
could this possibly be?i still owe 5000 on this and after reading reveiws of this model im
in big trouble. Please help as i dont know alot about car's.
You vehicle uses a CVT transmissions and adding fluid to the proper level is key, sounds like you have a leak. Since the CEL is on, have the car scanned for the codes. Have it looked at ASAP before the transmission is damaged if not already from low or incorrect fluid level. Shops do not rebuild the CVT transmission, only replace and that can be expensive.
