i have a 2000 buick park ave. that wont start. can somebody please help me out.i have accessed the fuel pump in the trunk, when i turn the key to the on position i do not hear the fuel pump turn on.

when i check for volts at the harness going to the pump i get a reading of 5.00
volts. does'nt that tell me that the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay are
good?

Voltage is too low, could be a bad relay or wiring, check the voltage as the fuel pump fuse then at the relay connections if not found there then you will have to follow the harness to the rear of the vehicle until you find the problem. HTH
