Start my truck with only a screwdriver
Ain't going to happen, you need a key with a transponder chip.
and I want to fix my life with a hammer-
I use a wrench
Tom..........1997 Blazer does not have a chip in key.........
Check out this link on how to do it. The process may be as easy as popping off your ignition lock switch, eliminating the need for an actual key and then anything that can fit inside can turn and start the car. ( as far as i know this would only work in non- chipped much older vehicles) Otherwise, this link will show you how to wire your vehicle to work with a screwdriver. Not a great idea in our opinion, but it is possible. Also, I know you said this is your vehicle, but in the event that it is not, this is HIGHLY illegal. http://www.doityourself.com/stry/how-to-jump-a-car-with-a-flat- head-screwdriver#b
