At what position is the temperature gage supposed to sit at after the car has warmed up it's a 99 Chevy Lumina 3.1

Depending on the gauge calibration most of them set just right of straight up while driving down the highway, if in stop and go traffic it can climb to 3/4 gauge but then the cooling fan should come on and take back to just right of the center. HTH
