My ac compressor isn't kicking in

Check for power and grounds at the clutch connector, if you have both then the clutch wen bad. if you don't have power then check AC compressor low and high pressure switches and the AC clutch relay and fuses. This is assuming the system is fully charged.
From the question, I don't think you could even find pressure switches or relays. I can't understand why people cheap-out on AC systems and not get them fixed professionally and properly, which is all you should be doing. With all the things that could cause a compressor to not initiate, you'll never find the problem by yourself.

If the system is empty it won't click on , there's a pressure switch . If you want the AC to work take it to a pro and bring your wallet
First thing to check is to see if you have refrigerant in the system. If you don't the compressor will not come on and you have a leak which needs to be looked at by a pro. Since summer is almost over, I'd wait until November to get it looked at. You'll be less likely to pay a premium for the repair. Hope that helps! Jim
