SOS is just what it appears to be, no hidden meaning. It is like OnStar, you pushed a panic button ...~~~... it will locate you and either call you to see what the trouble is or call 911. The only other scenario is a warning that it is disabled

Thank you, didn't push button warning just comes on. How do I get this reset?

To turn off the SOS warning, shut off the engine and then turn the key back on. Then turn on the headlights and leave them on for two minutes. Then turn them off and turn off the key. The message may still there at the time but will be gone the next morning. It has to do with the brain box having a battery voltage question and by burning the headlights for two minutes, the brain box sees a voltage drop and records the new battery voltage.

I have a 2012 SLK 350 and the SOS Tele Aid Inoperative message keeps coming on. What can I do to make it stop?

I accidentally cut the wires to the phone base; immediately, I had two messages. First, SRspS restraint system malfunction. Second, SOS tele aid malfunction, visit workshop. Finally, the radio doesn’t work nor does the 6 disc CD player doesn’t open...can someone help?

Have the same problem - drains my battery to 0 Volts overnite . At the end of patience - considering 1/2 brick C-4 - no more S0S no more flashing lites - no more Mercedes. - wheeeeeee

did anyone figure it out. he said turn the engine off then turn on. does that mean turn the engine back on or just turn the key so i have power in the car, then turn on the lights???: need help to turn SOS in my 2006 clk 350
