It's around $2000-$3000 for ordinary cars. Probably lots more for a MB CLK. What is wrong with your engine?

Engine sieged when car was driven after oil leaked out. Is it worth rebuilding the engine or is it too damaged?

This question is almost impossible to answer because there's so much to take into account. 1, Do you want a new engine or a second hand one? 2, Do you want it fitting at a dealership or your local garage? 3, If you bought a second hand engine, does anything need replacing (assuming it cannot be swapped from your old engine). Personally, I would check ebay, local breakers and anywhere else I could think of in search of a good used engine, then have it fitted by a reputable garage local to you. Make sure the engines are the same and that it came from a car as close to the age of yours as possible. Your car being a 2005 CLK320 should have the engine number M112E32 which is the V6 used in that car between 2002 - 2005. Don't however limit your search to the CLK as the 209 chassis CLK is based on the 203 chassis C-class saloon car so the chances are they probably share engines too. Good luck.
