if i clean the mass air flow sensor on a mercedes clk 320 will it help it enough to remove check engine light?
maf is reading at the low limit of normal range and cel is on with code indicating maf
problem. Will spraying it with maf cleaner help remove light?
Maybe, can't hurt to eliminate that as a source. Something you should do anyway.
I just did that, and no, it didn't correct the issue. But, like the previous response, it didn't hurt. I've replaced a couple of the easier vacuum lines (they were old and brittle), but have not approached the erg valve yet because that one is the most difficult to get to. My plan is to target that one next (replace the vacuum line and clean the aluminum tube that runs to the intake manifold).
Have you scanned it with a decent OBD II scanner to find the code that will tell you what might be the actual cause?
