how come my interior lights stay on for a long time before they shut off?

My interior lights stays on when im driving and when im done driving and i lock the door and everything but the lights do not shut off until about 10 min. later. whats wrong?  my trunk light on the dashboard is on, is that why?

Sounds like a problem with the body control module, which controls timed interior lights. This may also be the source of your trunk light being on when it's not. Have a dealership run tests on the BCM to check if it is functioning properly.
