Do I have to take the fan off to get the radiator out

You don't have to, but if you never did it before, I would because it can get tight. If you want to try it, you just need to move the fan cover back and pull up on the radiator after you remove the coolant hoses and trans lines.

you don't have to , i just installed a new radiator a few months ago in my truck , there's plenty of room. remove the shroud disconnect the lines & hoses & it comes straight up & out.
