1995 dodge ram 2500 v8 just died while driving and would not start. when cranking smell gas,

someone told if gas could be fuel pressure regulator which was located on top of gas tank by the pump. took tank down installed new regulator. finally started ran for about ten seconds. tried later now dont have gas smell, but have no spark.even gave in shot of ether and no fire. put on new engine computer, still no spark,hooked  up my hand scanner and says everything's fine .. what's next?

what an answer,maybe on new vehicles they have that like on small engines a low oil shutoff, comeon,,,, you sound like a (real mechinic)

No need to be an asshole! I had a 04 it happen to! Figure it out yourself then!
