Ticking sound on acceleration.
2004 Ram 1500
Ticking is consistent at idle, increases it's speed
with engine RPM. When it reaches operating temp,
ticking is dramatically reduced or is gone
I just put in a new throttle position sensor and
manifold air pressure sensor. Sounds most
prominent from the drivers side bank, cylinder 6 or
Rocker issue would be consitistant, and actually
get worse as the temp rises if I'm not mistaken, so
I'm leaving that out for now. That leads me to a
faulty injector, plug, coil, or valve yeah?
I've bumped up the octane of fuel I use from the 87
minimum recommended to 89 as well.
Thanks for the help.
