truck won't stay running after replacing transimission

my husband replaced his transmission and when he got done started up fine then died  
right away, it starts but won't stay running checked the plugs and plug wires everything is
good there, truck was running great before he put the other transmission in, just did not
have reverse

Tell him to retrace his steps from doing the transmission job. Sounds like an electrical problem. I'm thinking bad ground. Whenever I do a repair and a new problem crops up I find that retracing my steps finds the new problem. HTH. -Jim
