1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Squeaking/Chirping while driving
1999 Dodge Ram 1500, V8 5.2, RWD, Regular Cab
While driving I heard a very loud squeak. It sounds like its coming from the
Passenger side. Does not squeak while idling, only when I pick up speed.
When I heard it the first time I pulled off to the side of the road and began to
hear a low grinding sound with the squeak. Took the truck out again, no sound
until I was 5 minutes into the ride, no grinding. Squeak/Chirp is very loud and
is steady but not constant.
What could this be coming from?
Check the brake rotor dust shield, it might be bent or rusted loose contacting the rotor.
