i have a 98 s10 with a 2.2 the trans is bad ..i went and picked one up for the truck but the bell housing is dif...is this a 4l60 or something else...any help would be so nice thanks

The doner truck could be a V6 or possibly 4wheel drive or both. Check the tags on both your transmission and the replacement transmission. They need to match. Also, if possible, check the 8th character of the doner vehicle's VIN. It should match yours indicating that it has the 2.2L as well. HTH. -Jim

You have to make sure you get one from a 2.2, it has a different bellhousing than most
