Bad PCM?

Asked by May 08, 2017 at 12:03 PM about the 2006 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just started my 2006 Ford Taurus and ABS, brake light, battery light, and check engine light came on. Thought it was the alternator but checked out OK. Tried both of my OBD II testers, but no communication to the PCM. Car runs but have noticed some hitching in the transmission. I checked all fuses and wires, they are fine. Do I have a bad PCM?

Wow you have a Ford breakout box to check the wiring, great so then I would have to agree with you on that, but usually it is either a blown fuse or a broken wire in the engine management circuits, but your right at the vehicle and have already homed out the suspected circuits.
